Variety, Flexibility and Autonomy: Intrinsic Rewards of Teacher-Librarianship

This study explored the initial motivations and intrinsic rewards of eighteen women who chose to become elementary school teacher-librarians. Participants' were consistent with those their classroom teacher-colleagues in most areas examined by study. However, participants indicated three or that appear specific teacher-librarianship: variety, flexibility autonomy. stories provide insight into how they view work negotiate relationships teacher-colleagues, for autonomy workplace.
